Product Pages
Product pages are where customers make purchasing decisions. Edpro provides a powerful, customizable product page layout.
Page Layout
The product page uses a two-column layout:
- Left column (64%) - Product media gallery
- Right column - Product information and purchase options
Accessing Product Page Settings
- Open the theme editor
- Click the page selector at the top
- Choose Products → Default product
- Click the Product section
Product Media Gallery
The media gallery showcases your product images and videos.
Features
- Multiple images - Display all product images
- Thumbnails - Navigate between images
- Zoom - Click to zoom on images
- Videos - Support for product videos
- 3D models - Display 3D product models
Tips for Product Media
- Upload images at least 2048px on the longest side
- Use consistent aspect ratios across products
- Include multiple angles and detail shots
- Add videos to show products in use
Product Information Blocks
Add blocks to build your product information section:
Header
Contains badges, product title, rating, and price. Organizes the top section of product info.
Description
Shows the full product description and optional SKU from your product editor.
Variant Options
Displays variant options (size, color, etc.) for customer selection.
- Automatic variant swatches for colors
- Dropdown or button selectors
- Out-of-stock variants clearly marked
- Size guide support
Subscription
For products with selling plans/subscriptions. Displays one-time vs subscription purchase options.
Buy Buttons
The purchase action area including:
- Quantity selector
- Add to cart button
- Buy now (direct checkout)
- Accelerated checkout buttons (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, etc.)
Accordions
Collapsible sections for additional information:
- Shipping details
- Return policy
- Size guides
- Care instructions
Bullet Points
List of key product features with icons.
Reassurance Bar
Horizontal bar with icons and text for trust indicators:
- Secure checkout badges
- Shipping information
- Return policy highlights
Upsell Products
Display related or complementary products within the product page.
Stock Indicator
Shows product availability status with optional urgency messaging.
Payment Icons
Displays accepted payment methods.
Sticky Add To Cart
Fixed banner at the bottom of the screen for quick purchase access.
Setting Up Product Pages
Basic Setup
- Open the theme editor
- Go to Products → Default product
- Click the Product Info block
- Add blocks for the information you want to display
Recommended Block Order
- Header (badges, title, rating, price)
- Description
- Variant Options
- Buy Buttons (quantity, add to cart)
- Bullet Points
- Accordions (details, shipping, etc.)
- Reassurance Bar
Variant Options
Color Swatches
For color options, Edpro displays color swatches automatically based on your variant names or assigned swatch colors.
Size Options
Size and other options display as selectable buttons or dropdowns.
Unavailable Variants
Out-of-stock variants are:
- Visually dimmed
- Still selectable to show availability status
- “Sold out” button displayed
Add to Cart Experience
When customers add items:
- Item is added to cart
- Cart drawer opens automatically
- Customer can continue shopping or proceed to checkout
Common Tasks
Reorder product information
- In the Product Info block, drag blocks up or down
- Changes apply to all products
Add accordion sections
- Click Add block in Product Info
- Select Accordions
- Add accordion items with title and content
- Repeat for additional sections
Enable accelerated checkout buttons
- Open the Buy Buttons block settings
- Enable “Show accelerated checkout”
Show pickup availability
- Ensure pickup locations are configured in Shopify Admin
- Pickup availability displays automatically
Troubleshooting
Images not loading
- Check image file size (keep under 20MB)
- Ensure images are in supported formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP)
Variants not showing
- Verify product has variants in Shopify Admin
- Check that variant options are properly configured
Add to cart not working
- Ensure product is in stock
- Check if product is published to your sales channels
