Installation

This guide walks you through installing the Edpro theme on your Shopify store.

Installing from Shopify Theme Store

1. Access your Shopify admin

   • Log in to your Shopify admin at your-store.myshopify.com/admin

2. Navigate to Themes

   • Go to Online Store → Themes

3. Add the theme

   • Click Add theme button
   • Select Visit Theme Store or search for “Edpro”
   • Click Add theme on the Edpro theme page

4. Preview your theme

   • Once installed, click Actions → Preview to see how your store looks
   • Review different pages to ensure everything appears correctly

5. Publish the theme

   • When ready, click Actions → Publish
   • Confirm by clicking Publish in the dialog

After Installation

Once installed, you should:

1. Open the Theme Editor to start customizing
2. Complete the First Setup Checklist to configure essential settings

Keeping Your Current Content

When switching from another theme:

• Your products, collections, and pages remain unchanged
• Your navigation menus are preserved
• Some section layouts may need adjustment in the new theme
• Custom code from your previous theme won’t transfer automatically

Backup Recommendation

Before publishing a new theme, we recommend:

1. Duplicate your current theme

   • On your current theme, click Actions → Duplicate
   • This creates a backup you can restore if needed

2. Test thoroughly

   • Preview your store on different devices
   • Test the checkout process
   • Verify all pages display correctly

Troubleshooting Installation

Theme doesn’t appear after installation

• Refresh your browser and check the Theme library section
• Ensure you have sufficient theme slots available

Theme looks different from demo

• The demo uses specific content and settings
• Follow the First Setup Checklist to configure your theme
